Refined Custom Home Overlooking Crescent Lake, St. Petersburg

This Crescent Lake Drive residence sits on one of St. Petersburg's most architecturally diverse stretches — a corridor where classical bungalows, mid-century ranches, and contemporary infill all share the same waterfront. The design challenge was to introduce a new home that read as fresh without competing for attention with its neighbors. The solution was disciplined proportion.

Strong vertical emphasis at the entry, balanced symmetry across the front elevation, and refined material detailing give the home a curb presence rooted in classical sensibility. Step closer, and modern moves become apparent: cleaner lines than the era it nods to, larger glass openings, and a contemporary roofline that lifts the massing without breaking the street wall.

Inside, the same balance plays out. Public rooms are formal in scale but loose in plan — large enough to entertain comfortably, organized openly enough to live in daily. Window placement is responsive to the lake-park orientation, capturing natural light from multiple directions throughout the day. Material choices throughout favor natural finishes that age into the home rather than wearing out of it.
